Tournament format
What Teams Can Expect
Core playing details are confirmed. Final brackets, match times and advancement structures depend on registration.
Playing Format
- 7v7, 9v9 & 11v11 competition for U9–U19 teams
- Minimum of three guaranteed games
- Maximum rosters: 14 players for 7v7, 16 players for 9v9 and 22 players for 11v11
- 7v7 and 9v9: two 20-minute halves with a five-minute halftime. 11v11: two 24-minute halves with a three-minute halftime.
- Certified officials will oversee all matches, with certified athletic trainers available on site
- Unlimited guest players are permitted
- All players must be age-eligible, rostered and have completed required waivers by the published deadline
Weekend Schedule
Girls’ divisions: Saturday, May 29. Boys’ divisions: Sunday, May 30. Final match times will be released after registration closes and divisions are formed.

Who can participate?
The tournament is planned for U9–U19 boys’ and girls’ teams. Final divisions depend on registration and competitive fit.
How many games are guaranteed?
Every accepted team is guaranteed at least three games. 7v7 and 9v9: two 20-minute halves with a five-minute halftime. 11v11: two 24-minute halves with a three-minute halftime.
How large can our roster be?
Maximum rosters are 14 players for 7v7, 16 players for 9v9 and 22 players for 11v11. Unlimited age-eligible guest players are permitted within the applicable roster limit.
Which age group should our team enter?
The event takes place during the 2026–27 seasonal year and uses school-year age groups running from August 1 through July 31. Register according to the oldest player on your roster. Use the US Club Soccer age-group chart to determine eligibility.
When and where will the tournament be played?
May 29–30, 2027 at Cone Health ZooCity Sportsplex in Asheboro, North Carolina. Girls play Saturday, May 29; boys play Sunday, May 30.
When does registration open?
Registration is opening soon through SportsHeadz. Early-bird pricing is available through March 31, 2027, and regular registration closes May 16, 2027.
When will schedules be released?
Schedules will be published after registration closes and divisions are finalized. Coaches will receive direct notice when match times and field assignments are available.
What happens if weather affects the tournament?
Weather may require schedule or format adjustments. UnitedGoals USA will communicate changes directly and follow the published tournament rules.
